Garage Epoxy Systems
Floor Lab installs three main garage epoxy systems for Melbourne homes: broadcast flake, metallic epoxy, and solid colour. Each system has different appearance, price, and durability characteristics.
- Broadcast flake: The most popular finish. Coloured vinyl flakes are scattered into the wet base coat, locked in with a clear flood coat, and sealed with a UV-stable polyurethane topcoat. Mid-range price, excellent durability, easy to keep clean. From $1,999 for a single garage.
- Metallic epoxy: Premium visual effect using pigment-heavy resin to create flowing, three-dimensional patterns. Each metallic floor is unique. Longer installation time and higher skill requirement. From $2,800 for a single garage.
- Solid colour: Clean, uniform finish ideal for workshops and utility spaces. Most cost-effective option. Available in a full RAL colour range.

Every Floor Lab garage quote includes the full scope: diamond grinding of the concrete slab to the correct surface profile, crack and chip repair, moisture-tolerant primer, your chosen colour or flake system, and a UV-stable polyurethane topcoat.
